BULLET St. Louis Soldiers Prisoners-of-War From World War II A-L
The following list was compiled from WAR CASUALTY REPORTS taken from the ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH between January 1942 and December 1945. All of those named here were reported Prisoners-of-War. It should be understood that not all who were POW’s will be found here. This is not official information but that which was supplied by the families of service personnel, who are notified by the government, and then submitted the information to the newspaper. The date listed is the day the name appears in the newspaper, subsequent information (i.e. date of liberation or return home is also listed when found in the newspaper. Those POWs who died in captivity are also listed in the St. LOUIS OBITUARY INDEX.
