Listings for places of worship in St. Louis County or its independent municipalities are not included. If a place of worship moved outside the City of St. Louis, information following the relocation is not included.

JESUS (Evangelical & Reformed) CHURCH [Evangelical] (German) 1894-1970?
Jesus Church was organized on Nov. 2, 1894, at the Soulard Market Hall, by former members of St. Mark Evangelical Church and Rev. L. G. Nollau. First pastor Rev. Mr. Pitscher, they occupied a church at Twelfth and Victor Streets on Apr. 2, 1895. In 1913, the original Jesus Church merged with ST. PAUL FRIEDENS CHURCH in the latter's building at 13th Street and Allen Avenue and in 1914 moved to 1115 Victor (at 2420 12th St.) Rev. William F. Simon, pastor. This church would eventually became the JESUS UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST in 1957. [1970]
