Our Town is designed to list upcoming genealogy-related programs and events in the metro area and the addresses, phone numbers, websites, and e-mail address (when applicable) of bi-state resources, which genealogists may find helpful. Old Country, New World: Finding Your Ancestors in Passenger & Immigration Records, sponsored by St. Louis Public Library, 1301 Olive Street, will take place on Saturday, March 23, 2002, from 10 a.m.-12 Noon in Meeting Room 1 in Central Library. It is intended to introduce beginning and intermediate-level genealogists to basic genealogical materials and research methods for this subject area.
