Virginia Census Records:

St. Louis Public Library owns various Virginia federal census records. We have book indexes for 1790, 1810-1870, 1890 (veterans’ census), and 1900 (institutions schedules). We have the Virginia census schedules on microfilm for 1810-1870. We can copy microfilm listings for 25 cents per page, book listings for 15 cents per page, plus $1.00 overall for postage and handling (an explanation of our research policy and a list of addresses and phone numbers may be found in the Contact!! section of this newsletter). We can get Virginia census schedules and soundex for 1880-1920 for our cardholders through interlibrary loan.
