Buder to Host PuppetFest 2012

The Puppet Guild of Greater St. Louis presents PuppetFest 2012 on November 17 at Buder from 10 a.m.-noon.

At 10 a.m., Papa & Jackie Wright tell the original story of “Reuben, the Jealous Lion.” Elephant is happily celebrating his first birthday party until Reuben, his best friend, becomes jealous and tries to spoil the party.

At 10:30 a.m., children can make their own puppets with the help of Ginny Weiss of Puppets on Hand.

At 11 a.m., Daniel Romano’s Blaque Berry Puppets performs “The Swan Dance.” Sean the Swan is in for a big surprise when he ignores Mama’s warning not to watch the “Swan Dance under the full moon.”

Inexpensive puppets and puppet props will be available for purchase before and after the performances.

Additional information can be found at www. puppetguild.org.

PuppetFest is provided free of charge with financial assistance from the Regional Arts Commission.
