Friction is a force that slows or stops motion. There is friction between objects when
they press or rub together. Use friction to help you perform an amazing balancing trick.
For this exercise you will need:
What happened?
There is less weight on one finger, and so less friction - your finger can slide under the
wood.
The weight of the other half of the wood presses on your other finger. It creates
friction, which keeps this finger from moving under the wood.
