Elizabeth Stroble, Ph.D.

WHEREAS, we have been apprised that Elizabeth Stroble, Ph.D. will be receiving a Award for Regional Leadership at the St. Louis Community Empowerment Foundation's 10th Annual Salute to Women in Leadership on May 16, 2013; and\

WHEREAS, academics has taken Elizabeth Stroble from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, to the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, and Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff to the University of Akron in Ohio, where she was Senior Vice President, Provost and Chief Operating Officer; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Stroble became the 11th president of Webster University, overseeing 21,000 students worldwide and a $189 million budget; and

WHEREAS, President Stroble initiated a $32 million expansion that will add two new buildings, parking and landscape improvements to its Webster Groves campus while growing the school's $63 million endowment.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of St. Louis that we pause in our deliberations to recognize Elizabeth Stroble, Ph.D. and we wish her continued success, achievement and accomplishment and we further direct the Clerk of this Board to spread a copy of this Resolution across the minutes of these proceedings and to prepare a commemorative copy to the end that it may be presented to our honorees at a time and place deemed appropriate by the Sponsor.
