Eagle Scout Joshua Severin Sulz

WHEREAS, we have been advised that on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Hendri's Banquet Center, the rank of Eagle Scout will be awarded to Joshua Severin Sulz; and

WHEREAS, Joshua is the son of Stephen and Judith Sulz, who are proud and pleased
to announce this momentous accomplishment in Joshua's life; and

WHEREAS, Joshua is a member of Boy Scout Troop 62 and has been in Scouting for 9 years. He has earned 26 merit badges and has been awarded the Order of the Arrow Award. Joshua has held the positions of Chaplain's Aid and Patrol Leader in his troop; and

WHEREAS, Joshua's Eagle Scout project consisted of planning and executing the removal of weeds, bushes, and unwanted plant life and landscaping perennial gardens around building at Sokol Camp, a not for profit Czech cultural organization. Sokol St. Louis has a camp in Imperial, Missouri, where the grounds needed improvements; and

WHEREAS, those who are familiar with Scouting are aware that the rank of Eagle Scout is a goal sought by many but attained by few; requiring intelligence, perseverance, and a strong sense of service to your community.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of St. Louis, being apprised of the significant recognition to be bestowed on Joshua Severin Sulz at the Eagle Court of Honor, and wishing in some small way to add our congratulations and best wishes to Joshua and his family, we pause in our deliberations to consider and adopt this resolution, and instruct the Clerk of this Board to spread a copy of this resolution over the permanent rolls of the Board and to further prepare a copy of this resolution so that it may be presented to our honoree as deemed appropriate by the resolution's sponsor.
