An ordinance pertaining to Lafayette Square Park; providing that, in addition to revenues derived from those sources specified in Section 5.74.020 of the Revised Code, City of St. Louis, revenues derived from sources in Lafayette Park specified by this ordinance shall be held in the "Lafayette Square Park Fund" as created by this ordinance and shall be subject to Chapter 5.74 of the Revised Code.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION ONE. In addition to revenues from those sources specified in Section 5.74.020 of the Revised Code, City of St. Louis and notwithstanding Section 5.74.020.B, Revised Code to the contrary, all revenues derived from fees or charges collected by the City from members of the general public for daily, seasonal or other periodic use of Lafayette Square Park land or recreational and athletic facilities located thereon, for admission to or for private events in City-operated facilities in Lafayette Square Park, and for permits for special events in Lafayette Square Park, shall be held in a special fund for Lafayette Square Park as created in Section Two of this Ordinance and shall be subject to Chapter 5.74 of the Revised Code.

SECTION TWO. Lafayette Square Park Fund established

The Comptroller is authorized and directed to establish a fund to be designated as the "Lafayette Square Park Fund" for the account of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry. All interest earned by the funds deposited in such special account shall be retained in the account to be appropriated according to provisions of this ordinance. All expenditures from such fund shall be appropriated in accordance with applicable law.
