INTRODUCED BY ALDERMAN MARY ROSS

An ordinance authorizing and directing the Director of Streets to temporarily close, barricade or otherwise impede the flow of traffic on 17th Street at a point 55 feet north of the alley north of Cass Avenue; Mullanphy Street at a point ten (10) feet west of the west curb line of Helen Street; Mullanphy Street at a point ten (10) feet east of the east curb line of Sixteenth Street; 16th Street at the south curb line of Mullanphy Street; and 18th Street at the north line of the alley north of Cass Avenue and containing an emergency clause.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION ONE: The Director of Streets is hereby authorized to temporarily close and barricade, for a period of six months, 17th Street at a point 55 feet north of the alley north of Cass Avenue.

SECTION TWO: The Director of Streets is hereby authorized to temporarily close and barricade, for a period of six months, Mullanphy Street at a point ten (10) feet west of the west curb line of Helen Street.

SECTION THREE: The Director of Streets is hereby authorized to temporarily close and barricade, for a period of six months, Mullanphy Street at a point ten (10) feet east of the east curb line of Sixteenth Street.

SECTION FOUR: The Director of Streets is hereby authorized to temporarily close and barricade, for a period of six months, 16th Street at the south curb line of Mullanphy Street.

SECTION FIVE: The Director of Streets is hereby authorized to temporarily close and barricade, for a period of six months, 18th Street at the north line of the alley north of Cass Avenue.

SECTION SIX: Emergency Clause. This being an ordinance for the preservation of public peace, health and safety, it is hereby declared to be an emergency measure within the meaning of Sections 19 and 20 of Article IV of the Charter of the City of St. Louis and therefore this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
