17.28.010 Parking prohibited during certain hours.

The parking of vehicles in the curb lane on public streets within the City is hereby prohibited, for the purpose of street cleaning, as set forth in this chapter.

17.28.020 Installation of signs.

The Traffic and Transportation Administrator shall install signs designating the day and time of such prohibition. The parking prohibition provided for herein shall come into full force and effect on each street when said signs are installed.

17.28.030 Length of prohibition.

Said prohibition shall be in effect weekdays only, for a period of four hours or less, as posted, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

17.28.040 Maximum area of prohibition.

No more than one curb lane per block shall be prohibited to parking for this purpose on more than one day each week, and no portion of a street shall be prohibited to parking on different days in consecutive weeks.

17.28.050 Exceptions.

The Director of Streets, when he shall find that any street which lies in whole or part within one of the areas designated presents a special condition or traffic situation, may exclude such street or part thereof from the operation of this chapter; provided, however, this section shall not be construed to permit the Director of Streets to establish any parking prohibition or restriction on such street. The Director of Streets shall cause each street which has parking prohibited signs, as provided for herein above, to be cleaned on the day parking is prohibited on such streets unless such cleaning cannot be accomplished for reasons beyond said Director's control. The Director of Streets and the Chief of Police shall hereby be authorized and directed to establish the administrative procedure for directing that no enforcement of this section shall occur in areas when there will be no street sweeping.

17.28.060 Area prohibited between 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.

Parking is hereby prohibited in an area bounded by the Mississippi River on the east, Market Street on the south, Tucker Boulevard on the west, and Cole Street on the north including both sides of boundary streets between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.

17.28.070 Area prohibited between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 am.

Parking is hereby prohibited in an area bounded by Tucker Boulevard on the east, but not including either side of Tucker Boulevard, Market Street on the south, 17th Street on the west, Cole Street on the north including both sides of the boundary streets except Tucker Boulevard between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
