Entertainment Area Curfew

15.111.010 Entertainment area--Defined.

The following described area (the "Entertainment Area"), because of its concentration of establishments primarily engaged in the evening hours in serving alcohol, shall be subject to the prohibitions of this chapter:

A portion of the City bounded on the east by the west line of Lenore K. Sullivan Blvd., on the north by the north line of Biddle Street, on the south by the south line of Eads bridge, and on the west by the west line of Third Street.

15.111.020 Prohibition on people under 21 years.

No person under 21 years of age shall be in or on the public streets, alleys, sidewalks, wharfs, bridges, parks or other public places within the Entertainment Area between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m. the following day, except that the provisions of this section shall not apply to any person accompanied by a parent, guardian or other adult having his care or custody, to any person on an emergency errand or legitimate business directed by his parent, guardian or other adult having his care or custody; to any guest of a hotel/motel in the Entertainment Area travelling to or from such hotel; to any person travelling to or from his place of employment within the Entertainment Area or whose presence in the Entertainment Area is connected with and required by his employment.

15.111.030 Penalty for violation.

Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall, upon being found guilty thereof, be punished by a fine of not less than $1.00 nor more than $500.00.
