15.108.010 Responsibility of parents.

It is unlawful for any person, including a parent, legal guardian or other person in a relation of loco parentis or responsible for care and support, to encourage, aid or cause any child under seventeen years of age to commit any act or engage in any conduct which would be injurious to such child's morals or health, or for any such person to commit any act or omit the performance of any duty which contributes to or causes or tends to cause such a child to engage in behavior or be subjected to an environment or associations which have been or are injurious to the child's or others welfare or which has resulted in the commission by the child of violation of federal, state or municipal laws.

15.108.020 Penalty for violation.

Any person violating the provisions of Section 15.108.010 shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars, or by imprisonment of not more than ninety days, or by both fine and imprisonment.

15.108.030 Evidence of reputation.

Courts, upon trial of any person charged with violation of Section 15.108.010 may receive, where material to the charge, evidence of the reputation of persons, place things in proof or disproof of charge.
