11.62.020 Removal without permit.

Every person who shall convey, remove, assist in conveying or removing the body of any deceased person, whether such person shall have died in the city or shall have been brought to the city after death, outside of the limits of the city, without first having obtained from the office of the health commissioner permission so to do, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor; provided, that the provisions of this section shall have no application where bodies in course of transportation pass through St. Louis on their way from one point to another.

11.62.030 Certain dead bodies not to be brought to city.

It shall not be lawful for any person to bring into the city the body of any person who shall have died from cerebro-spinal meningitis, diphtheria, scarlet fever, typhoid or typhus fever, smallpox, Asiatic cholera, yellow fever or other malignant infectious or contagious disease, except upon the written authority of the health commissioner under such rules and regulations as he may prescribe. Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
