5.48.010 Established.

There is established a special fund to be known as the "transportation trust fund."

5.48.020 Sales tax deposit.

All revenues generated by the additional one-half cent sales tax enacted by Ordinance No. 56554, approved June 29, 1973 as authorized by House Bill No. 65 of the 77th General Assembly of the state shall be deposited to the credit of the transportation trust fund.

5.48.030 Appropriation--Authorized.

"There is appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the transportation trust fund the sum of two hundred thirty-four thousand, five hundred dollars to the Bi-State Development Agency for transportation purposes as defined in House Bill No. 65 of the 77th General Assembly of the state.

5.48.040 Appropriation--Purpose.

The funds appropriated by this chapter to the Bi-State Development Agency are solely for the purpose of preventing the announced termination of public bus service in the city and shall not be construed to be the city's percentage of any formula which may be established to determine the city's share to be paid to the Bi-State Development Agency in the future.

5.48.050 Appropriation--Excesses.

If the funds appropriated by this chapter exceed the city's percentage of any formula arrived at in determining the city's share to be paid to Bi-State Development Agency, the amount in excess of the share shall be credited to the future payments of the city to Bi-State Development Agency.

5.48.060 Appropriation--City obligation.

The funds appropriated by this chapter to Bi-State Development Agency shall not be construed as an obligation for further payments by the city to the Bi-State Development Agency.
