Hospital Revenue Fund

5.40.010 Established.

There is established the "hospital revenue fund" in the office of the City Comptroller.

5.40.020 Deposits.

After all funds received by the Division of Hospitals, including but not limited to receipts from Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Medicare, etc., shall be deposited exclusively in the hospital revenue fund.

5.40.030 Expenditures.

Funds so deposited in the hospital revenue fund may be expended, upon duly executed and approved vouchers, for the purposes set forth and up to the amounts authorized in detail in the annual budget for the Hospital Division but expenditures from the hospital revenue fund for Homer G. Phillips Hospital and Max C. Starkloff Hospital shall always be apportioned in equal amounts to each hospital.

5.40.040 Excess funds.

In the event the Division of Hospitals receives, and there is deposited in the hospital revenue fund, funds in an amount in excess of that appropriated in the annual budget, the excess funds may be expended for any of the purposes set forth in the annual budget for the Division of Hospitals, on the approval of the Board of Estimate and Apportionment and of the Board of Aldermen provided that the apportionments set forth in Section 5.40.030 are maintained at all times.
