4.40.010 Director and assistant director.

The Judge of the Juvenile Court is authorized to appoint a Director and an Assistant Director for the house of detention of the city.

4.40.020 Doctor and nurse.

The Director of the House of Detention is authorized to employ, subject to the approval of the Judge of the Juvenile Court, a doctor and a nurse.

4.40.030 Salaries for directors, doctor and nurse.

The Director shall receive a salary of three hundred fifty dollars per month; the Assistant Director shall receive a salary of two hundred fifty dollars per month; the doctor shall be compensated for his part-time services at not more than two hundred fifty dollars per month; the nurse shall be compensated for her part-time services at not more than two hundred dollars per month.

4.40.040 Other employees--Appointment.

The superintendent of the house of detention is authorized to employ, subject to the approval of the juvenile court, attendants, watchmen, and other employees.

4.40.050 Other employees--Number.

Not more than eight attendants, nine watchmen, one cook, and one custodian worker shall constitute the total number of employees of the house of detention, to be employed as set forth in Section 4.40.040.

4.40.060 Other employees--Salaries.

All attendants, watchmen, and cooks employed at the house of detention shall receive a salary of two hundred forty-six dollars per month. Any custodian worker employed at the house of detention shall receive a salary of two hundred thirty-eight dollars per month.

4.40.070 Vacations.

Vacation leave with full pay after six months' full-time service shall be granted to employees of the house of detention at the rate of one and one-half working days for each full calendar month of service, but shall not accrue to an employee's credit beyond a maximum of thirty-six working days.
