4.04.010 Annual salaried employees.

Every officer and employee holding a position with an annual salary, before entering upon his duties and within thirty days after his appointment, shall take, subscribe and file with the register an oath or affirmation as required by Section Three, Article VIII of the Charter. Each officer or employee coming within this section shall furnish the register correct information as to his address.

4.04.020 Other employees.

Every employee holding a position under compensation other than an annual salary, except day laborers, before entering upon his duties and within fifteen days from the date of his appointment, shall take, subscribe and file with the register an oath or affirmation that he has all the qualifications named in the Charter and the ordinances of this City for the employment he is about to assume; that he will support the Constitution of the United States and of the state and the Charter and the ordinances of this City; and will faithfully discharge the duties of such employment. Each employee shall furnish the register correct information of his or her address.

4.04.030 Prerequisite for compensation.

No officer or employee coming within the scope of either Section 4.04.010 or 4.04.020 shall be entitled to compensation for work done prior to compliance with this chapter.
