PART VIII. BOARD OF ADULT WELFARE SERVICES
The board of adult welfare services in relation to its operation and maintenance of adult municipal detentive, penal and corrective institutions shall include among its duties, obligations and authority, the following:
A. Personal visitations at least quarterly upon the various premises by two or more of its members so assigned, for the purpose of keeping the board advised as to the condition of the physical plant, its housekeeping, cleanliness, safety and the comfort and discipline maintained and provided for the inmates.
B. It shall report promptly to the commissioner of adult services and to the director of welfare any condition or circumstance found existing in any premises which it considers in need of corrective attention.
C. It shall file an annual report with the commissioner of adult services and the director of welfare covering its activities with suggestions and recommendations as it deems advisable.
Reasonable clerical, stenographic and transportation expenses shall be provided by the department of welfare.
