3.24.490 City counselor to defend firemen--Judgments against firemen.

The city counselor, pursuant to Section 536.163, Revised Statutes of Missouri, 1957, is required and directed to defend, in the name of and on behalf of the members of the fire department, any action brought against members of the fire department involving claims for death or injury to persons or property arising out of their operation of motor vehicles for the fire department in the performance of their duties. No judgment, or liability for court costs, obtained against any member of the fire department in any such action, shall be a liability of the city.
