Circuit Attorney

3.17.010 Circuit Attorney empowered to perform additional duties.

Pursuant to the enabling authority of Section 56.453, Revised Statutes of Missouri (Senate Committee Substitute for Senate Bill No. 601, 82nd General Assembly, Second Regular Session) this ordinance is enacted to empower the Circuit Attorney of the City to perform the additional duties in addition to all other duties imposed upon the Circuit Attorney by law, as are enumerated in said Section 56.453 R.S.Mo.

3.17.020 Compensation.

Upon the agreement of the Circuit Attorney to perform such enumerated duties in addition to all other duties imposed upon such official by law, the Circuit Attorney shall receive in addition to all other compensation provided by law an annual sum of twenty-seven thousand five hundred dollars, to be paid in the same manner as the Circuit Attorney's other compensation, commencing upon the effective date of this ordinance. The Circuit Attorney's agreement shall be evidenced by filing a written declaration to such effect with the City of St. Louis Recorder of Deeds and the City Register.

3.17.030 Commencement of additional duties and compensation.

The performance of the additional duties and payment of the additional five thousand dollars compensation provided for the Circuit Attorney herein shall, according to said Section 56.453 R.S.Mo., commence on January 1, 1985.
