City of St. Louis Department of Personnel Safety and Health Regulations Manual

Safety Regulation Violations

Disciplinary action will be taken for violation of the Safety Regulation in accordance with Administrative Regulation 117. Emphasis will be placed on Section II - PROGRESSIVE DISCIPLINE as follows:

1. COUNSELING Phase

A. Verbal Counseling

B. Written Counseling

2. PUNITIVE Phase

Certain cases will be referred to the Employee Assistance Program in conjunction with any other measures prescribed at this time.

Suspension or Temporary Reduction in Pay

3. REMOVAL Phase

Removal From the Job Through Either Demotion or Dismissal
B. Grievance Procedure as Spelled Out in Administrative Regulation No. 51

Compliance and enforcement of these Safety Regulations are the responsibility of all employees. First line supervisors must ensure that all employees perform their jobs in accordance with the precepts set forth in this document.
